Cost and Limitations
This certified product-version may require additional costs and contractual obligations.
Upon purchase of certified product-version, EP must sign a renewable subscription contract of varying duration, dependent upon their choice of product features and/or discount offerings. EP must pay an “ongoing” monthly or annual subscription fee to the EHR technology developer to maintain an active SOAPware license. This license includes technical support and product functionality in order for the EP to meet the MU objectives and measures.
Contractual Limitations: Direct messaging capability is restricted and users will be unable to exchange messages with users of third-party HISPs with whom the developer does not have a trust agreement. Should a provider wish to establish a new connection with a third-party HISP, provider must lodge a service request identifying the third-party party HISP along with contact information for the HISP at http://trust.myhealthware.com/.
Technical Limitations: The user must establish a MyHEALTHware connection (“contact”) with the intended recipient prior to exchanging information using the Direct Network.
This certified product-version presents the Meaningful Use Measures, required for Automated measure calculation § 170.314(g)(2), in a .csv format for viewing. For each meaningful use objective with a percentage based measure this file presents the electronically recorded numerator and denominator, and resulting percentage associated with each applicable meaningful use measure. .CSV files are optimally viewed in spreadsheet software including Google Spreadsheet, Apache Open Office, Microsoft Excel among several others which some may require the one time purchase or subscription payments for use of the software.
This certified product-version may require one-time, flat fee costs to establish interfaces for reporting to immunization registries, cancer registries, and public health agencies (170.314.f.2, 170.314.f.4, 170.314.f.6) and annual, flat fee subscription costs to maintain the interfaces. This capability electronically creates the reportable laboratory tests and values/results, immunization information and cancer case information needed for electronic transmission to the associated registries and agencies.
